In a what happens to be a twist of event, Barcelona youngster, Ansu Fati has ditched Tottenham Hotspur and opted to join Brighton and Hove Albion. Despite being very close to joining Tottenham, Fati took a different turn after he spoke to De Zerbi, Brighton’s manager.
Ansu Fati leaving Barcelona on loan is still a shock to football fans. The La Masia graduate was taunted to be the next Lionel Messi at the Spotify Camp Nou and was trusted with the number 10 jersey last worn by Lionel Messi.
After an unfortunate incident that saw Fati stayed out for six months due to injury, the Spaniard has failed to regain the form he had that saw him being compared to Barcelona greats. Fati settled for being a second half substitute and barely even impact the game when he get introduced in matches.
Ansu Fati accepted a one year loan move to Brighton as he looks to get back on a good feet when he returns to Barcelona next season.

Ansu Fati will become the highest earner in Brighton, earning more than x2 what the former highest earner at Brighton earns. Fati will earn £200,000 a week at Brighton. He will have a net earning of £10.4 million for his one year stay at the club.
Former Liverpool midfielder, Adam Lallana was the highest earner at Brighton with a weekly salary of £90,000 and £4,680,000 yearly.
The 20-year-old will return to Barcelona after his one year spell with Brighton in the Premier League.
