Caesare Casadei joined Chelsea from Inter Milan for a fee worth £16.8m. Chelsea saw several bid for the young midfielder turned down before securing his signature despite stiff competition from other interesting clubs.
Casadei born in Cervia, a small town in Italy, had dreams of becoming a footballer alongside his elder brother, Ettore. Both Casadei and Ettore are seeing their dreams come to actualization, however Casadei has skyrocketed past his brother who plays for Savignanese in Italian Serie D.
The young player has always shown qualities of being a star. His style of play earned him comparison with AC Milan midfielder Marco Ambrosini.
Casadei will be looking to break into Chelsea first team after he pulled a stellar performance at the ongoing u20 World Cup in Argentina. The Chelsea player has scored 7 goals at the competition, making him the highest scorer.
With the departure of N’golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic being linked with a move to Manchester City, the chances of Casadei breaking into Chesea first team becomes less difficult.
