Liverpool attacker, Roberto Firmino was the surprise exclusion from Brazil 26 man squad to represent the country in the coming World Cup.
Brazil national team coach on Monday announced the players that would be heading to the world cup and left out Roberto Firmino while surprisingly include Flamengo’s Pedro.
Other EPL star were picked including Manchester United Fred, Casemiro and Anthony. Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli. Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison and Newcastle United’s Bruno.
The creative attacker is no doubt one of the players pushing Liverpool forward as they struggle to revive their failing form.
Firmino has nine goals contribution this season which includes six goals and 3 assist, more than Richarlison, Anthony and Martinelli goal contribution so far this season. Only Gabriel Jesus has more, with ten goals contribution.
Knowing he deserves to make the list, Firmino has reacted to his snub in a classy way.
“Passing by to say thank you for all the lovely messages. The World Cup is a dream for every player and with me it wouldn’t be any different.
“Yesterday things didn’t go the way I imagined or dreamed for my life but I can look back and have a grateful heart to God that he has already allowed me to live that dream as well as so many others. You, Lord, will keep in perfect peace him whose purpose is firm, because he trusts in you.

It was, is, and will always be an honor to defend my country especially with the gift the Lord gave me. I stay here confident that God has the best for me and hoping that hexa comes.
