How Adama Traore reject £120k a week from Tottenham and accepted £15k a week from Barcelona
Adama Traore has resigned for his boyhood club Barcelona after he was linked with a move away from Wolves.
Adama attracted moves from a number of clubs with Tottenham being the most interested in the Spanish winger.
In a propose deal handed to Adama Traore and his agent by Spurs board, Adama Traore was offered £120k for his weekly salary.
Adama Traore more interested in moving to Spain with Barcelona, rejected the £120k a week offer from Tottenham and accepted a deal eight times smaller than the Spurs deal, with Barcelona’s £15k a week.
The physical winger graduated from Barcelona’s La Masia academy and was part of the youth team that won the UEFA Youth Champions League.
During his unveiling, Adama Traore said “it’s feel good to be back home.”
Understanding tye current financial situation in Barca, Adama Traore was keen to still sign with the club not minding the reduced salary he would be earning.
He’ll be on loan with Barcelona for the next 6 months. His loan move contains a buy clause incase Barcelona wants to retain the winger.
