How Smith Rowe ended the Mason Mount debate
Barely 24 hours ago, Arsenal outsmarted and outclassed Thomas Tuchel’s men at Stamford Bridge. Although, the game was a tough one for both sides, Mikel Arteta’s men won by four goals to two thanks to goals from Eddie Nketiah, Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka.
A lot was said before yesterday’s clash between Chelsea and Arsenal. One of the topic of discussion was about Mason Mount and Emile Smith Rowe.
A lot of people have alleged that Mason Mount is better than Smith Rowe but, after yesterday’s performance, there should be a turn in table.
Mount had his moments yesterday but, it was Emile Smith Rowe who shone brighter. Smith Rowe is a devastating talent, most of his actions are so decisive and influential whether in transition or a low block.
Arsenal were in transition when Smith Rowe re-established Arsenal’s advantage yesterday. And when playing against a low block, Smith Rowe managed to dance his way through a sea of Chelsea defenders before firing narrowly wide. Assuming he had scored that goal, it would have been a contender for the goal of the season.
