Neymar and Mbappe at war; Unfollow each other on Instagram

Neymar and Mbappe are nursing a secret war between themselves with the former teammates unfollowing each other on popular social outlet, Instagram.

Neymar and Mbappe shared the same dressing room at Parc des Princes before the Brazilian joined Saudi Arabia top flight team, Al-Hilal. While things seems cool when they both played together, Messi joining in 2022 seemed to have change the looks of things.

Neymar and Messi were teammates in Barcelona and had a very good relationship before Neymar switched to PSG for a world record transfer fee of €222 million in 2017. They reunited at PSG in 2021 after Barcelona and Lionel Messi pathed ways. The friendship between the two was very much intact as they connected immediately causing a possible slow-down in the growing friendship between Neymar and Mbappe.

Reports had it in the early part of the transfer saga between Mbappe and PSG that the Frenchman insisted on not wanting to play with alongside his Brazilian teammate no more. And as things rolled out, Mbappe only came to agreement with PSG and resumed regular team activities after Neymar was sold to Saudi Arabian giant, Al-Hilal.

Shortly afterwards, football fans have dug up proof of both Mbappe and Neymar unfollowing each other on Instagram. However, Neymar still follows Mbappe’s younger brother, Ethan Mbappe.

Mbappe sent a farewell message to Lionel Messi after his two years spell with PSG but didn’t do the same for Neymar who spent seven years with him at the French capital.

The tension between the two player rose in Neymar’s final season at the club. The two continually fought over spot kicks and Neymar liked a post that said Mbappe has control over the team because of his new contract.
