Liverpool winger, Mohamed Salah has impacted heavily since arriving at the Merseyside club in 2017. His arrival at the club caused a drastic reduction in hate related crimes and anti-Muslim comments that has been going on for a long time.
Hate crimes in the Merseyside was a thing on the lips all across England but since the arrival and impressive display of Salah for Liverpool. The rate of hate crime dropped by 19% helping the inhabitants of the city accept each other more, neglecting their tribal or color differences.
Acceptance of Muslims also grew tremendously over the years as Muslims in the area now have freewill to interact with others without fear of been discriminated because by others who are not of the same religion with them. Anti-Muslim comments reduced by 50%.
The study of the reduction in hate crimes and anti-Muslim comments was carried out by researchers at Stanford University.
