TenHaagIn trends on X following double salvo in first half of FA cup Manchester derby final

Ten Haag in trends on X, formerly known as Twitter, after Manchester United took a two-goal lead versus Manchester City in the FA cup final.

Goals from Kobbie Mainoo, after a fantastic team play, and Garnacho following some shoddy City defending have Manchester United fans dreaming.

There is still 45 minutes to go against Manchester City but they know they have one hand on the trophy now.

Erik Ten Haag’s men have perfectly executed the team’s game plan, containing attacks and breaking quickly.

Garnacho and Mainoo, who have been Ten Haag’s shinning light this season, proved to be the difference again. Their goals sees them both become the first teenagers to score in the FA cup final since Ronaldo in 2004.

Rumors of Ten Haag’s possible sacking dominated the headlines before kickoff. The reports suggested the Dutchman will be fired regardless of the out come in the final.

Not many would have expected the final to go their way after the season Manchester United have just had. Voices are now being heard calling for Ten Haag to stay after decimating City with “half a team.”

That is the opinion of popular Manchester United supporter and online personality Mark Goldbridge. He certainly has the support of other Manchester United fans who learnt their support in the comments.

“You can’t sack this man! He’s doing this with half a team ffs!”, Mark Goldbridge said on X.

One fan commented, “There will be protests all over the world if they dare to sack him after this.”

Other fans were quick to shut down calls for a trending hashtag, citing that they have just two players missing and not half a team.

Another said, “We’ve been crap all season . Let him win it and say his goodbyes”.

It remains to be seen what the official announcement will be but one person who is not worried is Ten Haag himself.

He spoke to reporters in his pre-match press conference suggesting he just wants to take his holiday after the game.
