Reports has it that Messi dated a 14-year-old girl when he was 18-year-old. The teenage is named Macarena Lemos. Macarena claimed to have been very close to Messi at a very young age with them mostly regarded as bestfriends. She added that Messi’s mother was very strict and protective of him to an extent where she once chased her with her frying pan while she was out in the mall shopping with her mom and aunt.

“She [Messi’s mother] was following me and taking photos until I turned around and asked her what was going on. That’s when she started insulting me. What was she doing there in the electronics section, with a frying pan in her hand? She was following me with a telephone and a frying pan.

I have never came out and said whether I had slept with her son. I was 14 and he was 18 – and I didn’t reveal anything about our relationship. She treated me like I was nothing, as if I were hanging from her son’s ribs. She seems to think I said something to a magazine, but I never did. They are confused.”

The story has is turning into a sour one for Lionel Messi with rants of him dating a minor being made. Dating a 14-year-old when you’re 18 is seen as an adult dating a minor and it is generally not accepted.
