Thierry Henry choose between Messi and Ronaldo

Arsenal and France legend Thierry Henry thinks his former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi is better than Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

Despite accepting the 34-year-old Argentine as his pick, Henry feels one should enjoy watching both bosses work.

For 15 years, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have dominated world football with their unrivaled stability at the club and international levels. Together, the two have won 12 major Ballon d’Or awards as well as numerous league titles and continental competitions.

Speaking to FIFA.com [via GOAL] in an interview in 2015, Henry expressed his views.

“I played alongside Leo, so my answer was. I have a lot of respect for Cristiano, as someone who has maintained such a high level for many years.”

He continued:

“It’s one thing to have a good time, then another four years later, but to maintain that level for consecutive years is something else.”

The 44-year-old also added:

“People know this, but I think we still don’t understand the true scope of what these two are doing, even with doing this for a long time.”

The term:

“So I have a lot of respect for Ronaldo, but I played with Leo and had incredible moments with him, we lost and we won together, that’s all I have to say about Leo.”

Henry played alongside Lionel Messi at Barcelona between 2007 and 2010, scoring 49 goals in 121 games in all competitions. The Frenchman won two La Liga titles, a Copa del Rey, and a UEFA Champions League trophy during his time in Spain.
