Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand is asking an intense question about gay footballers in the Premier League.
As the world seeks to equate everyone across all tribes, believes or sexualities, football is taking same stand and accepting sexualities amongst human. Making the LGBTQ community not feel left out from the sport.
Since the acceptance of all sexualities in football, Gay footballers has come out to accept their sexuality without fear of been looked down upon or mistreated.
In the Premier League, a player is yet to openly come out as gay and Ferdinand is questioning the uncertain event.
Just having a discussion in the car en route to the game….the question has come up – Why are there no openly gay footballers in the Premier League???
Are their possibilities of players being gay and are scared to come out in acceptance of their true identity or are their fears of being treated as less?
With the news of Mason Greenwood sexually assaulting a lady, the question by Rio Ferdinand becomes a probing question and needs to be looked at.
