Sterling told to join Crystal Palace in order to restart his career after difficult campaign

Sterling told to join Crystal Palace in order to restart his career after difficult campaign

Raheem Sterling advised to move to Crystal Palace to reinvigorate his career after torrid second season at Chelsea.

The winger has not exactly set the world alight since his departure from Manchester City in 2022. He in fact looks like a shadow of himself, although much of that has resulted from the instability at Chelsea.

Reports suggests Chelsea want to sell Sterling this summer despite having only used up two out of his five-years contract.

However, the 29 year-old insists on proving himself at Chelsea and is uninterested in a move away.

BBC commentator, Chris Sutton, thinks the best move is for Sterling to move a notch down so he can shine again.

He will probably end up at Crystal Palace or somewhere like that, I suspect.

“I thought his goal was excellent at the weekend. we aren’t party to what goes on at the Chelsea training ground and clearly Pochettino feels there has been a dip in form. We know what a talented player he is. But he does look like a player who needs a player to kick-start his career.”

A move such as that does not seem far fetched considering Chelsea are pressed to sell this summer. The club are set to run into financial troubles if they fail to shell out players. Important players like Gallagher have seen their futures thrown into doubt as a result of this.

Multiple reports have suggested Sterling could be used as make-weight to sweeten a deal for Michael Olise from Crystal Palace.

A deal can be struck for Chelsea’s last summer target if Sterling accepts to be used in the deal to sign Oliseh.
