Barca in doubt of Haaland to avoid financial crisis
Barcelona are in doubt of signing Erling Haaland in new statement made by club President, Joan Laporta.
Barcelona has shown heavy interest for the Borrusia Dortmund striker who is heavily linked with a move out of the Bundesliga.
The Spanish club was involve in a heavy financial crisis that cost them loads of first team players, including Lionel Messi and Antonio Griezmann. As the team is trying to build up from it’s financial trenches, Laporta has reported that they won’t try to put the club back at risk with big money signings.
Erling Haaland has been told by Borrusia Dortmund to make a final decision regarding his future and where he would like to trade his next plight as a football star.
The Norwegian goal getter is yet to pick any team despite interest from across top European clubs. Real Madrid and Manchester City are also interested in signing Erling Haaland.
Speaking on the possibilities of Haaland being a Barca player next season, Laporta said;
Barça president Laporta on Erling Haaland deal: “We will not complete any signing that could put the club at risk. That’s our philosophy”.
“You can talk about players, about big money deals but remember: Barcelona is not going to lose its head”.
Barcelona are after a number of players and have also approached Kylian Mbappe who is expected to be a free agent by the summer transfer window.
