Seven years later, Ramos and Lamine Yamal are opponents in a match between Barcelona and Sevilla.
Jose Luis Mendilibar has included Sergio Ramos in the starting lineup as he makes his first appearance against Barcelona as a player since he left Real Madrid in 2021. This time, Ramos is playing for Sevilla.
Lamine Yamal, 16, was included in Xavi Hernandez’s starting XI in the game. Ramos had already won his first La Liga championship with Real Madrid when Lamine Yamal was born, giving them a 21-year age difference.
At such a young age, Lamine Yamal is in Barcelona’s starting XI, which is a credit to both his great achievement and Ramos’ incredible stamina. Rarely will sights like this occur again.
