Angry at Ange! Fans call for Ange Postecoglu to be sacked after another loss

Fans call for Ange Postecoglu to be sacked after 4-2 defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

It is the latest in a run of defeats that is now extended by four for the North Londoners. It is the first time in 20 years they have suffered such run and it has left fans fuming.

Some of the defeats have been humiliating, although they can say three out of four have been away to top six clubs.

The 4-0 defeat to Newcastle highlighted a common theme in Tottenham’s season: good attacking intent but exposed at the back due to the aggressiveness of the high-line they keep.

The last two defeats to Chelsea and now Liverpool however has greater ramifications for European dreams. Any hope of pipping Aston Villa to fourth place is almost mathematically gone. They would need to win all their remaining games and hope Newcastle lose all of theirs to qualify.

Are Spurs fans losing their patience too early?

It’s raging on X as Fans call for Ange Postecoglu to be sacked after their  4-2 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

Liverpool romped into a four goal lead before Richarlison and Son scored to make the score line more respectable.

Many fans have commented on X, with one saying: “If Ange doesn’t learn to adapt he will be fired. His arrogance is like that of a child. Respect your opponent and stop using the same tactics that has been found out every weekend.”

Another fan wrote:

“Oli Skipp on when we’re 4-0 down, f**k off. Ange out. I’m done with this s**t. He’s lost his f*cking mind.”

“20 years since Spurs lost 4 prem games in a row!. We aren’t just getting beaten we are getting battered weekly! PROGRESS MATE”, another fan commented.

Rival fans however could not contain their excitement regarding the meltdown.

Arsenal fan @CarlBovis said: “Don’t worry Spurs fans, you’ve still got the ‘We lost to City so Arsenal can’t win the League’ Cup to play for… 🤣”

@BenKay found humour in the downfall of Postecoglou’s side since their early season promise. He said: “London Manager of the Year losing four straight games by an aggregate score of 14-2, is it? And the London Goalkeeper of the Year shipping all those goals, eh? The hilarity of #ANGEout later on will be a delight.”
